Following is all of the information you will need that will take you from Tuesday, December 6th’s dress rehearsal at Battell Chapel, through our concert on Saturday, December 10.
Tuesday, December 6 – Dress Rehearsal, Battell Chapel
Those who are able to arrive to assist with riser set up, please plan to arrive by 6:30 pm. Rehearsal will start promptly at 7:00 pm – with the orchestra. Please make every effort to arrive by 6:45 pm to ensure everyone is in place to begin rehearsal on time. We need to make the most of our time at Battell. For those who have not sung in Battell, our ‘sound’ is quite different. Please give Noah your undivided attention. Assistance moving the risers at the end of rehearsal is also needed and most appreciated. As always, many hands make riser set up/take down a quick process.
Wednesday, December 7 – Carol Sing, Davenport-Dunbar Residence
Please arrive by 5:45 pm for warm up and instructions. We will begin our program at 6:30 pm, and it usually lasts 45 minutes or so. Thanks in advance to all who participate!
Thursday, December 8 – Regular Rehearsal, First Presbyterian Church
Rehearsal begins at 7:00 pm…please be on time. This is our last rehearsal before the concert! A reminder that all ticket money and/or unsold tickets must be returned tonight. Also, all tickets for ‘will call’ must be given to Kathleen Johnson.
Saturday, December 10 – Concert at Battell Chapel
Call time is 6:00 pm, concert to begin 7:30 pm
ALL music must be in concert order and in a black 3-ring (or concert) notebook. Remove anything you may have placed on the outside of the notebook, as well as all staples from music and extraneous papers from inside. A pencil and your music are all that is needed.
- Black skirt/dress, (floor length), or black slacks
- Black top, 3/4 or full length sleeve, modestly cut neckline
- Black shoes
- Black slacks
- Black long-sleeved, collared dress shirt
- Black socks
- Black shoes
IMPORTANT – We are in close quarters at Battell -- please refrain from using any perfumes or scented hair products.
Those who ordered ornaments, I will have them for distribution tonight and Thursday night. Payment ($15 per ornament ordered) will be appreciated; cash or check tonight; cash, check, credit card on Thursday night. (Mine is shining brightly on our tree!)
As is our tradition, there is a post-concert gathering. On Saturday, it will be held at Cask Republic (thanks, Sarah!). Our reservation is set for 9:45 pm…the kitchen is open until midnight. Cask Republic is located at 179 Crown Street, just a short walk (7-8 minutes) from Battell (click the link below for directions). There is a small room that will accommodate 30 or so of us….but I have been assured that there is room for any overflow! We hope many of you will take the opportunity to socialize with chorus members and their families, recap the concert, and enjoy a job well done. It is always a fun time!
It is going to be a wonderful concert…be proud of what you have accomplished – both personally and as a chorus!
